In 1987 my wife, Susan, and I decided to head south in search of tropical warm weather.  Our love of fishing, especially tarpon and bonefish, brought us to Marathon.  I first met Diane Chaplin-Colvard while searching for my first waterfront home in paradise in 1987.  Over the next 20 years my family created many memorable experiences here in the Keys.  We would get together with Diane during our vacations and I would tell her, “When I’m ready to retire from the medical field, I am going to come work for you!”  This year I did just that!

I graduated from Dartmouth College and Albany Medical School.  In addition I served my country for two years of active duty in the Army.  After 35 years as an ear, nose and throat doctor, I was ready to retire and make Marathon my permanent residence.  It was then that I decided I was ready to expand my knowledge to another field of study: real estate!  I called Diane and told her I was ready to go to work for Waterfront Specialists!
